President and CEO Jerry Heying founded IPG. Jerry, a former sergeant in the NYPD auxiliary, has more than 30 years of protection experience and is hands-on in the management of IPG. He is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Personal Protection Specialist (PPS) and a well-known security and executive protection instructor.

IPG professional memberships include the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), Academy of Security Educators and Trainers (ASET), Nine Lives Associates (NLA), International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO), American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers (ASLET), International Network of Protection Specialists (INPS), Police Marksman Association (PMA), and several others.
